Chester Manor
116 South Kankakee St.
Wilmington IL. 60481

(815) 476-1055

The home was constructed in the 1800's and occupied by the then Wilmington Mayor Odell. The Odell's resided in the home until their death when the James McIntyres' purchased it to retire from the farm.

After the demise of the McIntyres' the property was sold to James and Thelma Butcher. The Butcher brothers are remembered for the construction of the Mar Theater located one block over from the residence.

When Jim Butcher died, Thelma sold the property to the Tom Proffit family, who resided in that location until it was sold and restored to today's majestic beauty of the Chester Manor Bed and Breakfast.
